I am a right now type of person. I like to see results. I had a perfect first week, stayed on track.
In many aspects it was like getting on a bike for the first time after many years. Years ago when I discovered what a portion truly was you don't forget it. I had one roll and one bite of chocolate cake. I planned ahead all week long and didn't even think about swinging by some fast food place. I am a fast food addict if there is such a thing. I didn't venture out to dinner this week - that will be a treat not an every day event. I already know what I will be choosing on the menu when I do and that I will be taking home 1.0 days of food given the portion sizes that are served.
I inquired this week about joining a new gym. My membership is on hold over at Lifetime Fitness, to be reactivated at anytime. I know it's 80/20 rule. 80% what I eat then 20% getting moving. I will need to incorporate exercise a little further down the road. One major change at a time.
I need to remind myself that there is no magic pill out there. It's hard work, discipline. To fail to plan is to plan to fail. I need to stay focused and keep in mind it's is baby steps.
I am happy with results this week and know they will taper off now. It was a good way to jump start things.
Staying positive one day at a time.
